Healthy Multi-Grain Breakfast

Today, we’re going to prepare a Healthy Multi-Grain Breakfast. This is a renowned recipe across South India that best serves to a healthy diet.

Ingredients:

Grains

Big White Kidney Beans

3/4 Cup of Big White Kidney Beans

Red Kidney Beans

3/4 Cup of Red Kidney Beans

Black Eyed Kidney Beans

3/4 Cup of Black Eyed Kidney Beans

Black Chana

3/4 Cup of Black Chana

White Chana

3/4 Cup of White Chana

Soybeans

3/4 Cup of Soybeans

Green Peas

3/4 Cup of Green Peas

Horse Gram

3/4 cup of Horse Gram

Mochai

3/4 cup of Mochai

Spice Powders

Coriander Powder

1 tbs. Coriander Powder

Cumin Powder

1 tbs. Cumin Powder

Dry Mango Powder

1 tbs. Dry Mango Powder

Hing Powder

1 tbs. Asafoetida

Crushed Pepper

1 tbs. Crushed Pepper

Black Salt

1/2 tbs. Black Salt

Salt

1/2 tbs. Salt

Vegetables

Onion

1 Medium Sized Onion Chopped

Green Chili

2 Chili Chopped

Coriander Leaves

1/4 Cup of Coriander Leaves Chopped

Lemon

1/2 Lemon

Mint Leaves Chopped for Garnishing

Method of Preparation

Step 1:

1 Water soaked grains

Soak all the grains overnight in water

Step 2:

2 Inside Pressure Cooker

Once after soaking grains for about 6 to 9 hours, wash the grains in running water twice and transfer it into a Pressure cooker

Step 3:

Add  3 to 4 glass of water to the pressure cooker and add salt as required

Step 4:

Cover the lid and pressure cook about 30 minutes and then transfer it to a serving bowl

Step 5:

Add all the spice powders & vegetables in to the serving bowl and mix it well. Add 1 to 2 tbs. of Lemon juice and mix it well.

Step 6:

9 Mix Well

Finally, add mint leaves for garnishing and serve it in a bowl
